The Warwick Dance Collective and Warwick Broadway Collective are a growing nonprofit organization with a seven-year track record of bringing professional quality dance and theater programming to the Warwick Valley, as well as providing first-class performing opportunities to local professionals, amateurs and students alike. The Collective was founded by Warwick native and accomplished professional dancer Melissa Padham-Maass, who is also the owner and director of the Warwick Center for the Performing Arts. As Orange County’s premier performing arts school, WCPA offers professional training in dance, theater, and vocal performance, and recently opened a remarkable new airy, light-filled, state-of-the-art performance space in the heart of the Village of Warwick.
Out of this new home, the WDC and WBC will be producing an exciting slate of full-scale productions for the upcoming season, including the classic holiday ballet THE NUTCRACKER, The February Dance Festival , the Classical Ballet; SWAN LAKE, a contemporary dance adaptation of THE SNOW QUEEN and MARY POPPINS the Musical.
Of course, producing such large-scale artistic works takes a village. While we are lucky to have an active team of volunteers who generously contribute their time to our performances, and student performance fees help cover the costs of our world-class professional faculty, there is so much more that goes into mounting these productions. From lighting, costumes, scenery and props to performance space rental, catering, and guest artists, we truly cannot bring these productions to life without your support.
Ticket revenue only partially sustains the WDC and WBC exceptional artistic, educational and community programming, and your contribution will help to keep participants' fees down and allow us to continue growing Warwick’s reputation as a destination for premier artistic programming. We are proud to be at the forefront of this region’s well-established and quickly growing arts scene, and we hope you will join us in supporting our local artists and providing ongoing performance opportunities for Warwick’s children.
Please consider making a charitable contribution at any level to help support our mission and keep our community’s vibrant arts scene alive and thriving.
